Pacto Visual 5

Pacto Visual 5 is a publication focused on the relationship between global contemporary art circuit and local context of the visual arts. Four foreign artists were invited to nominate one Brazilian artist each: Carlos Garaicoa, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Isaac Julien and Juan Araujo nominated Marcelo Cidade, Anísio O. Couto, Plataforma ÀRÀKÁ and Mauro Restiffe. Through interviews with these eight personalities, the book explores issues that permeate each artist’s poetic universe and their ties to Brazil.
